Weak.

Strengthen me.

Prayer has turned into extreme sports for the disabled. I realized I rarely ask God to provide me with the grace to pray. For me I believe it is harder to make connections with asking for strength to pray verses praying on my own strength. Since the act of prayer is a conversation directly with God I fail to make the connection that I'm only able to pray (converse) because of the grace He has given me. And when I try to press on praying on my own strength... I end up disgustingly drained.

2 Corinthians 9:8, 14-15.
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work...

And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

----------

Not only in prayer but in all things. We need the grace of God. It's only by His grace that I was able to wake up this morning. It's only by His grace that I even have the capability to type on this blog. Why would He show so much love and mercy upon such stupid, dirty, adulterous people like us. Ahhh. Praise be to the King who loves us and longs for His glory to shine through all that He has created.

Psalm 106:48
Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, "Amen!" Praise the LORD.

Psalm 66:20
Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!
